The reasoning behind the change to early-season elections was that many students leave town in early August, right around the time the election has traditionally been held in the past. At least, I think that's the reason, but I'm usually asleep at the wheel and/or drunk during BOC meetings.
This Friday, May 10, is now the last day to nominate someone for commodore, vice-commodore, or (heh-heh) rear commodore. That last position, a new one, is something like a$$ queen, I guess, but hey, it gets somebody else another free membership, and Hoofers is all about getting free stuff.
Here are some of the benefits of being commodore:

Note: Next year's commodore has already been selected by Union administration, but we have to go through the election process anyway for appearances sake.
"Special Election" is offensive, Hoofers has a very clear "NO AUTISM" policy. I can list 3 people so far who've been let go because of their different ability. Elsmo is crystal clear on this.

DeleteIt appears he hauled an Autistic kid infront of the board, to make him beg to come back, and wouldn't allow him to have his caretaker, or Medical assistant present, the poor kid even asked for his lawyer, JESUS this is quite a read. Ofcourse it was denied, but the hoops they made him jump through just to be denied and laughed at for having Autism is purely disgusting. Mills Botham is a MONSTER!
DeleteDoubtful it was all Mills' decision. Do you have any documents on this? Others would be very interested to see what the club is up to. If you want to black out personal names, you can do that on the hardcopy (or a xerox), then scan the pages at any campus library and it will output a PDF.

DeleteAh, there are quite a few people interested in this. I have more information now. An acting Vice Commodore stole a shit ton of money from the victim, and Mills was helping to cover it up I think. WOW this gets deeper, I really want to know more, anyone know anything email me again please.
DeleteI did a search and found an email address in the blog, hooferclubs@yahoo.com, which you could try, or you could upload them to a free file hosting site. Myself and others would like to know more about any discrimination in the club which is illegal, however I would not count on the BOC to forward you anything.

DeleteThe only reason I want try to contact him first, is that The Commodore forced him to redo Autism testing to be readmitted and there is a Doctors note confirming it from a licensed Psychiatrist. Even tho it is in the public domain now, im not sure if this creates a HIPA conflict, or if the commodore informed him that by e-mailing the doctors note it would become publicly searchable.
DeleteScott Walker is unemployed and would make a fine Commodore. Maybe we can get Scott Fitzgerald for Rear Commodore? But Walker brings experience to the position. He can postpone critical infrastructure funding, freeze membership fees at current level and take funding from lower fleets and apply to the few juggernaut keels. (sorry J boats, try harder). After all, the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many.

Maybe they needed some medicinal relief only available in every other state except for WI. I hope the kind bud helps alleviate their guilt for unleashing dumb and dumber on the state.
